Saturday, November 15, 2008 from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM (PT)
The Marin County Bar Association and Marin County Women Lawyers are hosting a Continuing Legal Education Fair for lawyers needing CLE credits. H-M, you need them by January 31, 2009. Click here for the Schedule.
An impressive group of speakers will conduct one hour seminars on a range of topics from estate planning for domestic partners (including perhaps the first seminar after the vote on Proposition 8 the week before), to hot issues in family law, real estate, mediation, and computers in your practice. All the required courses -- Ethics, Bias and Substance Abuse -- will be available. Click here for Program and Speaker info. Because of room size, registration for each course is limited.
During the full service luncheon, there will be a two-hour discussion with a panel of Marin County Judges: Verna Adams, James Ritchie, Paul Haakenson and Commissioner Roy Chernus. The panelists will give their views and possibly their preferences on brief writing and argument, hot issues in the law and attorney procedure, and what they see for the future of Marin County courtrooms.
At $125 per member for 5 CLE credits, breakfast, lunch, (and judges) this is the best CLE deal of the year. For any practitioner in Marin County courts, this is a program is a must!
So click "Order Now" to register for courses and make your lunch selection. (Space in each seminar is limited so register early).
